Contemporary Painting · Hudson, NY

Pigment, patience,
and presence.

Northlight Lindqvist makes large-scale abstract paintings in oil on linen — quiet, weather-worn surfaces built to live with for decades. Selected works are available; new commissions open by season.

The Practice

One studio, four ways to live with the work.

Whether you're acquiring an existing painting, commissioning something for a specific wall, or building an exhibition, every piece begins and ends in the same Hudson studio.

Original Paintings

Available works in oil and cold wax on linen — each signed, varnished, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Commissions

A collaborative process for a specific space, scale, and palette — from first sketch to delivery, with studio visits along the way.

Works on Paper

Intimate studies and monotypes — an accessible way to begin collecting, framed to archival standards on request.

Exhibitions

Curated bodies of work for galleries, art fairs, and private viewings, with full provenance and condition documentation.

In the Studio

The hand behind the surface.

Trained in Stockholm and based in the Hudson Valley, the artist builds paintings in slow layers — pigment, wax, and scraped-back history. The work is shown internationally and held in private and corporate collections across three continents.
